Columbus presents a multiplicity of new products

Last autumn columbus did not only signalise a progressive change of the traditional brand by making the promising pledge for quality with their statement „Clean is Quality“, they also marked the beginning of  a product offensive. For the first time at the ISSA/Interclean columbus will present its new face and a multiplicity of new products to the international audience in Amsterdam.

The company from Stuttgart will present a range of new innovative scrubber dryers within the 40 litres and 60 litres range: RA 43/55 BM 40 as well as RA 55/66/BM 60. Their user-friendly control panel including a rocker function for back- and forward movements provides for effortless and safe working conditions, and the 60 litres scrubber dryer with a working width of 66 cm also offers the comfort of the patented mounting system for brushes and pad holders. Overall these cleaning machines become easily accessible to the operator – these are scrubber dryers that can be understood without speaking a word.

Another novelty is the new ST 11 vacuum cleaner and its variations, the ST 11 pro and the ST 11 pro+. Technologywise and in regards to their ecological functionality this handy, modern and attractively designed trio of vacuum cleaners is state-of-the-art and presents a new generation of columbus vacuum cleaners, which will be further extended as time goes on.

Also in the segment of sweepers columbus sets an example. The product range will broaden by eight brand new types of sweepers at once: four walk-behind sweepers of medium size as well as for ride-on sweepers – all of them manufactured with a robust heavy duty steel construction providing for excellent suction and filtration results.

The presentation of this product offensive is rounded off by even more exemplary products from the columbus range: walk-behind and ride-on scrubber dryers upright vacuum cleaners and dry/wet vacuum cleaners.

 

The innovative cleaning machines in the 60 and 40 litres range

Even though the two compact scrubber dryers RA 55/66/BM 60 have just recently started off a new generation of cleaning machines, an update of their smaller brothers RA 43/55/BM 40 are already next in line. They are now also available with the new control panel for the traction drive.

All scrubber dryers have one thing in common – the stringent operator-oriented concept: only after a few quick moves does the operator feel at ease with the machine, is the guide handle adjusted to the appropriate height, does he love the all around vision, is he used to the control panel and already fond of the forward and backward rocking function of the scrubber dryer.. The 60 resp. the 40 litres scrubber dryers operate at a minimum noise level of between 61 and 65 db(A), the silent versions operate at a reduced noise level of only between 58 and 60 dB(A); their tanks can be cleaned and disinfected hygienically according to the HACCP-concept.

The distinctive feature of the RA 66/BM 60 is its patented mounting system for brushes and pad holders. The brushes and pads do not only spin-off as you press a button, they also spin on automatically. Additional, especially designed brushes of varying hardness grade as well as corresponding pads are also available.

 

Additions in the segment of scrubber dryers for small size floor surfaces: the RA 35/K 10

The popular smaller RA 35/B 10 is now also available in a cable version. The new mains-operated RA 35/K 10 offers all the good features of its battery-powered cousins and rounds off the columbus portfolio in the bottom segment.

 

A new generation has begun: the new generation of vacuum cleaners.

The brandnew ST11, ST 11 pro and ST11 pro+ vacuum cleaners deliver what their appearance promises: a modern all around, carefully thought through concept – from professionals for professionals. The innovative design with a low centre of gravity and rubberized wheels (both pro versions have also rubberized castor wheels at the front) ensure stability and silent directional tracking capablility. The filter baskets and the exhaust air filters can be rinsed out and replaced easily and guarantee for consistently maximum filtration. The air supply at maximum vacuum pressure can be infinitely adjusted directly at the canister according to the floor conditions, providing for consistently high suction power. The handle on top of the suction head hides a practical latch, which secures the 10 or 15 m power cord in the cable compartment or on the cable-hook for safe transport. Considering all upgradeable variations of the ST 11, the scale is complete. The suction pressure of the ST11 pro and the ST 11 pro + can be adjusted infinitely electronically. The eco-function – as ecological as it is economical - reduces the energy consumption up to 0.5 kWh. A soft start mechanism of the motor prolongues the vacuum cleaner’s lifespan and the adjustable telescopic tube, including a high-quality combination floor tool, provide for comfortable working conditions. And the final features of the ST11 pro+ are an electric brush suction system as well as an exhaust air filter cassette in HEPA-quality. So you may be curious about the upcoming models.

 

Sweeping width from 47 to 130 cm. The new range of sweepers

Whether manually-operated sweepers and sweepers with suction, or heavy duty manually-operated sweepers with suction or ride-on sweepers – columbus has truly a full range of 14 models in total to offer. The eight new robust steel models excel with their excellent suction performance and their extra-large filter areas of up to 6 m2, easily cleanable thanks to an integrated filter shaker.  The overthrow sweeping principle guarantees a maximum filling level of the waste containers - with a capacity of between 45 to 108 litres – for longer operating hours and less downtime. The battery-powered heavy duty models KS 51/BM 45 and KS 71/BM 60 for use in indoor and noise-sensitive areas are also available for outdoor applications with a combustion engine. The AKS 70 ride-on sweeper comes optional with a battery (AKS 70/MB 62), petrol (AKS 70/VM 62) or diesel engine (AKS 70/VDM 62) or can be ordered with an extra large battery of 240 or 255 Ah 5 for 2,2 resp. 2,8 hours operating time.
