A unique aspect of RA 66|BM 60 is the innovative brush or pad holder with a pickup and drop-off system, which allows for almost instant changeovers. Now, as well as easily ejecting brushes and pads at the push of a button, they can also be automatically reattached. Accompanying this new generation of columbus scrubber dryers are special brushes of varying hardness, as well as a range of suitable pads. A further innovation in theRA 66|BM 60 is the adaptive brush system for uneven floors. It lies flat on uneven surfaces and therefore cleans every centimetre with maximum brushing pressure.

Uncomplicated: ease of handling

What both machines have in common is a design developed strictly around the needs of the user. This means that the machine’s functions can be understood intuitively right from the beginning. To help the user work safely and without getting tired, the RA 55 ? BM 60 and the RA 66 ? BM 60 offer good all-round visibility, an ergonomic and adjustable control handle and a clearly arranged operator panel with a speed controller for forward and reverse movement. Practical extra features include integrated system coupling for filling the machine quickly and cleanly with fresh water, as well as the optional tool board, located on the side. It stores the mop, bucket and other working equipment at a raised position where they are easy to reach. The engineering department at columbus has even given special consideration to usage in sensitive areas like clinics, retirement homes and companies where food is produced. The scrubber dryers operate at a very low noise level of only 61 dB(A), and in the silent versions are even quieter at only 58 dB(A). They also provide a two-tank system for hygienic cleaning and disinfection, in line with HAACP standards. Furthermore, both scrubber dryers are equipped with high-performance batteries – up to 160 Ah (gel) or 175 Ah (wet) – for long operating times.
